About Me!
I have been singing all my life! That's what we all say, of course, but it's true! From the age of 2 I have trodden the boards!
I was born and brought up in West London and I went to the Royal Academy of Music as an older student, married and with 2 children, and studied on the Post Graduate, Advanced Singing Course and also the RAM Opera School. Since then I have built up a strong and varied career encompassing all aspects of singing.
In 2004 I relocated to Cornwall with my husband, Chris, and Golden Retriever, Jessie, leaving my two children behind! Before long we had added another retriever, Jacca, and I had been welcomed and fully accepted into the Cornish musical family!
I now have a thriving teaching practice and, apart from still performing all over the County, I am now MD of a small chamber choir, Amici Voci, and have generally broadened my horizons to include coaching for speeches, presentations etc. In May, 2009, I was Animateur for the Community Opera 'One Day Two Dawns' which was a project run between English Touring Opera (ETO) and The Hall for Cornwall. This was awarded Educational Project of the year by The Royal Philharmonic Society in 2010!
2020 has brought diversification and different ways of teaching! I now do Zoom as an aid to performing and use it in the form of an online Master Class! I have also taken up painting and there are pictures of my Cards and some of my paintings on here as well!
